Important Disclaimer: This App is a secondary safety tool and is NOT a replacement for calling emergency services (such as 911 or 112). In an immediate life-threatening situation, always contact local emergency services directly.
We prioritize data minimization. We do NOT collect your precise location (GPS) data.
To use the App, we collect the minimum information required to send alerts:
- Your Name: Used solely to include in the email alerts sent to your contacts.
- Emergency Contact Emails: The email addresses you designate to receive alerts. We do not use these emails for marketing.
2.2 Usage Data
- Check-in Timestamps: We record the time of your check-ins to calculate countdowns.
- Device Information: Limited device identifiers necessary for authentication and notification delivery.
We use your information only to providing the App’s functionality:
- To track your safety status (Fresh, Safe, Warning, Expired).
- To send automated email alerts to your designated contacts only if you fail to check in.
- To sync your settings across your devices.
We do NOT:
- Track your location.
- Sell your personal data to third parties.
- Read your personal contacts or other private data on your device.
4. Data Retention and Security
- Retention: We retain your profile data (Name, Contacts, Check-in history) only as long as your account is active. You may request full data deletion at any time.
- Storage: We use Google Firebase (a secure third-party cloud provider) to store your data.
- Security: We use industry-standard encryption for data transmission and storage.
